Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Fight burnout, stress and absenteeism with an Unlocking You Counselling EAP

Worker shortages mean that supporting your staff to stay well has never been more important or easier. That’s why an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), an independent, confidential and free to the employee counselling service, is a proactive and preventative approach for workplace mental and emotional health.

An EAP gives you access to a fully trained counsellor who specialises in work places at Unlocking You Counselling, for as little as $12 per employee per month.

Why an EAP?

How does it work?

We’ve come up with a formula that takes into account the average number of workers who access an EAP each year and converted that into a per employee per month figure x the number of employees in your business. That works out to less than a couple of polo shirts each year. Each workplace is signed up for 12 months and employees are able to access the program confidentially.

Is there a cap?

Yes. From time to time there are workplace wide crises or elevated levels of stress that cause greater numbers of people to access counselling than usual. But don’t worry. We’ve built in a generous 20% leeway to allow for those tough times.

How do I know who accessed the service?

Sorry. You don’t. Maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of counselling is one of the most attractive things about an EAP for workers. Each quarter we will provide a report about the number of clients who accessed the service without revealing their identity.

Why you should consider an EAP.

Untreated mental health conditions cost Aussie work places 6 million lost working days and 12 million days in lost productivity each year. Even worse, mental health conditions cause suffering for the employees we care about. An EAP provides the professional support to help workers stay at or return to work.
